چکیده
Abstract Introduction Early vaccination of cattle with an inactivated commercial bacterial vaccine against bovine respiratory disease has been reported to increase antibody production and can alleviate the disease. However, its dosage little investigated in young Holstein calves. This study addresses need establish guide values for these animals. Material Methods Healthy calves received Histophilus somni , Pasteurella multocida Mannheimia haemolytica intramuscularly at ages 1 4 weeks. Administered doses were 1.0 mL primary booster vaccinations (1.0 + group), 0.5 (0.5 or both group). Results Differences responses between group minor. number a positive response H. was less than half that groups. In logistic regression analysis, although dose positively correlated seropositivity not response. The M. low even after regardless dose. Conclusions be used newborn calves, but may required vaccinations.

Determination of Antibody Response against Inactivated Agalactia Vaccine in Small Ruminants
An inactivated agalactia vaccine was prepared with Mycoplasma agalactiae in fermenter. The culture was inactivated and subsequently adjuvanted with aluminum hydroxide gel. Four sheep and four goats were immunized with the experimental vaccine. Two doses of 1ml of vaccine were administered three weeks interval. Monthly, blood samples were taken from the vaccinated animals up to the fifth month...
متن کاملA single vaccination with an inactivated bovine respiratory syncytial virus vaccine primes the cellular immune response in calves with maternal antibody
BACKGROUND The efficacy of a single dose of an inactivated bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV)--Parainfluenaza type 3 (PI3)--Mannheimia haemolytica (Mh) combination vaccine, in calves positive for maternal antibodies, was established in a BRSV infection study. RESULTS As expected the single vaccination did not have any effect on the decline of BRSV-specific neutralising or ELISA antibod...
